Covid Quarantine in Amsterdam Hotel question

We will be sailing on Celebrity Apex out of Amsterdam on June 7. If we test positive while on board it’s my understanding that at the end of the cruise Celebrity would give us the option of staying on board or completing our quarantine in an Amsterdam hotel. If we complete our quarantine in a hotel does Celebrity confiscate our passports and give them to Netherlands immigration and if so how and when do we get them back?   I’m never comfortable being without my passport. I’m just trying to explore all scenarios before out trip.

That is what has been reported by a number of people on the TA.   I'm sure they will update you.  Some reported trouble getting them back due to confusion on where they were being held.
