I ordered another beer, and checked out the bathroom, since I needed to pee at this point. They didn't have paper towels, but there was toilet paper on the counter, so at least I could dry my hands. Definitely not the worst bathroom I've ever seen in the Caribbean.

Next, he suggested parking and talking a look around the "city"... We checked out a little souvenir shop, and I picked up a few shot glasses for the guys at work, and a paper mache mask for myself. Then we wandered into another shop where the guy tried to sell me some "Cuban cigars"... He started at $250 for a box, and eventually said he'd take $80... I'm not an expert on Cuban cigars, but I know that the real ones cost a whole lot more than that. He was quite pushy, and eventually I just said I don't want any, and walked out. He muttered some obscenities in Spanish as I left...

Before I go on, first let's go back to the restaurant where I had lunch. The mofongo was $22, and the beers $5 each, so $32... I go to pay the bill, and the guy says $41. I looked, and there was $9 in "taxes" on a $32 bill. I asked "what is the tax rate?" He says "28%" ... Of course, I'm thinking this guy is ripping me off, but what the heck can I do after I've already eaten. I just paid the guy, and also left a top for the waitress. That crappy little meal ended up costing me over fifty bucks... Anyhoo, it's vacation, so who cares...

Next thing I knew, we were back at the port, and I paid off the driver. Certainly not the greatest day ever in the Caribbean, but I'm not in jail, and I still have all of my internal organs... I'm back on the ship now, and I'm leaning towards taking another shower, just because I have no idea who's been in the back of that taxi...

Two parts tequila, one part orange liqueur, one part fresh squeezed lime juice, and a squirt of agave syrup...

All showered off again, and dressed for dinner. This time, a less offensive shirt, though maybe not "age appropriate" for an old fart like me.

This is the desk on deck 7 where they take care of questions passengers may have. Not really guest services, and there's nobody here right now, but sometimes...

*I don't have any idea how the other picture showed up here again...

All I have now is some Jose Cuervo silver. Would you drink that or do I need to go shoppin'?
