Carnival Airport shuttles (HOU --> Pier & Pier --> HOU)

Hello all,

 

I know the Carnival transfer service has been used before, so those of you who have used it (specifically from Hobby to the pier and back), how was your experience?

 

Background info that might be pertinent: There are two of us, we are driving to the airport (not flying) and looking to use carnivals transfer service. We have rented a car because ours is older and don't want to put the stress or risk with that. Rentals are extremely expensive through the rental company I typically use, because they aren't doing a one way rental, so we'd have to rent for the week and pay parking just to have it sit there. Another company is much cheaper and allows drop off if its at an airport. So we are looking into the airport transfers by carnival.

 

Any advice, or past experience is appreciated!

Carnival has shuttles from both IAH and HOU.

 

HOU is closer to Galveston by about 40 minutes.

 

 Sounds as though the rental company that is cheaper and offers airport drop off is best if you intend to drive to Houston area then fly back home.

 

SWA flies into Hobby a lot and United is higevat IAH.
