Mardi Gras Cove -Connecting Cabins

Booked the last remaining cove available on a Mardi Gras sailing.  Unfortunately it was a connecting cabin.  Concerned about the differences vs a non-connecting. Does the door between cabins cause a loss of space?  Does the door cut into the wall? Jut out from the wall?  Is noise an issue?  In all of my cruises I have avoided adjoining cabins. Just hope I can get info on what to expect. Thank You in advance for any info:)

I had a connecting extended balcony on the MG in Feb.  The door is flush with the wall.  There were Diamond cruisers next door so noise wasn't an issue. Connecting cabins can be prime for upsell offers
