Going on a cruise & playing golf question

Hi,

  We will be stopping in La Romana on a future Carnival Cruise. If allowed (private course ??) my husband would like to play Casa de Campo. 
If not CDC, any recommendations from fellow golfers or locals?  This would be late September.
