Vancouver hotels using Priceline

Every 72 hrs., using the 8 free bids and I still can't get a 4* downtown hotel in Vancouver for June 12th.

Does anyone have any reason why this might be? :confused: I started by bid and $60 and went up to $100.

It may just be that this is an expensive time and $100 won't do it.

Have you been to one of the "Priceline" Help sites for any input?

I always use http://www.betterbidding.com and I find it very helpful especially to look back and see what others have paid.

Don't feel bad, they don't like me either. I even went higher than $100 for a 4* in Vancouver for May 8-10, every 72 hours, and zero, nadda. I have a pretty nice backup, I hope, for $115, so I don't want to bid any higher now.

 

Good luck with your next bid. I don't think I will mess with Priceline any more.

I don't know anything about Priceline but live in Vancouver and deal with hotels for work. From May to October (cruise season of course!) the prices skyrocket in the downtown area.

Yahoo-o-o I got Westin Bayshore,June 12th-$80.

After 2 bids-they asked me raise it $22-so I raised it $11 w/ no luck.

Started over-added new zone-raised bid $4 from previous bid and Won.:D :D :D :D
