Royal app wifi

I know this has probably been answered a hundred times in the forum but my searches bring up everything else but my question. 

 

When I get on board I turn on my airplane mode then turn wifi back on to be able to use the onboard wifi for the app, correct? 

 

I don't want to do it wrong and end up with a big bill.

Yep, as long as you don’t allow your phone to access any network besides the royal free for the app, you are good.  

 

If if you have an iPhone, go into the info section and toggle the “private wifi address” switch off to connect properly....

As long as you are in airplane mode, you are good.  Sometimes I still get email alerts but that is not a problem, they are not charged.
