iria64 Posted July 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2022 We were having a discussion on how the parking rate is determined at Terminal 3 at Port Canaveral. Since it seems that you pay when you enter the parking garage how is it determined how much to actually charge. Do they base it on what ship is in port that day? ie: the ship is going out on a 7 day voyage so you will be charge for the full week (8 days I think). If this ship is doing a 4 day voyage then you will be only charged for 5 days. Since there is no gate to pass through when leaving, how would those who are on back to backs be charged? You would be parked for 15 days but on your arrival you are only charged for the 1st week.
navyvet8395 Posted September 19, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2022 I think it puts a "deposit" charge on your card and gives you a ticket. On way out, you put the ticket in the machine and it bills you the amount of days spent. Of course I can be wrong also.
SteerageJoe Posted September 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2022 (edited) Yes, the system is preprogrammed for the number of days based on the ship in the dock! That’s what you pay upon entry. In the recent past, that 2nd cruise parking was free! I think it’s still free but don’t quote me! Best to call the port and ask if you are concerned. Go for it and let us know! Edited September 20, 2022 by SteerageJoe
