You have to pay attention because for excursions you go on a different tender to a different port area … on your own you are dropped off at the bottom of Fira town where you can either walk up to take the cable car or ride the donkey!

I booked the charming Oia and Winery Tour … I researched the other ones and did not think they are worth the price!

It is a very narrow spot and the line is long to take a picture… no railings and deep drop … you have to be careful or you will go over!

the picture spots were very crowded and very “dangerous” if you lose your balance you are going over and down!

Toilets 1 E per person or you buy something at the cafe and use the toilet there!

it might not look it but it’s very crowded!  Very and that is with 1 cruise ship in town …. It’s a monster when there are 4 in town!!

After Oia the tour ends in Fira… you have the option to end the tour in Oia and take the public bus back for 3 E.

Walking around Fira town!  I am glad I came back so I have time to explore Fira.

 More great pics. We really enjoyed Santorini on our Odyssey cruise in May; in fact it was DH's favourite stop on the trip. I don't remember it being crowded, just busy, but it was very early in the season and we got there early in the day. I would happily go back.

To get back down you will need to take a cable car or walk the foot path or take a donkey ride down… 6E one way … it is a long way down and long way up under the Greek Sun!

Again European cruises are nothing like the Caribbean cruises… it is so calm … relaxed … but still with plenty of action !
