Time of Embarkation?

We have just booked a cruise for October this year. Does anyone know when we might hear what time we can board, or at least choose a time?

You will receive an email from P&O about three weeks before you sail telling you that can now access this information on your P&O log-in site.

They give you a time - there is no choice.

Are P&O still issuing boarding times based on decks ?

I seem to remember seeing a spreadsheet showing deck numbers and allocated boarding times in the distant past.

Standard e-mail from P&O.  

In March, we had a 15:30 embarkation time. Turned up at 14:00, and no problems at all.

I appreciate that things have moved on since then, but people trying to board at 12:00 with an allocated time of 15:00 will cause congestion. 

Personally,  we think that, as long as the first two hours of boarding have elapsed,  turning up an hour or so early is not unreasonable.  Tin hat on !
