Woofumz Posted August 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2022 I'm leaving on a Panama Canal Cruise in October. Can anyone recommend a place to get a rapid covid test for the cruise? we'll be staying in the airport area. To lessen my anxiety, i'd prefer a rapid test where we can leave with results in hand. Also would like to have a firm appointment made. Any help would be appreciated. thank you.

It is less than a mile from the cruise terminal and the cruise terminal is about 2 miles from the airport.
DaveOKC Posted August 31, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) Just a thought as I am on this cruise as well - I THINK we can test 3 days ahead of time versus the current 2 on many cruises. Check out the rules for yourself though. Edited August 31, 2022 by DaveOKC
Woofumz Posted August 31, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted August 31, 2022 (edited) Scott, the website says it's a drive thru site only. That's why I mentioned the uber. Dave, yes we can do three days before, the 10th we are traveling to San Dieg (all day). So that's why I'm looking at doing the 11th. AtSea, airport may be good. I have to contact them, they only reference testing for flights and require you bring your flight itinerary. I will contact them and see if they'll do the same for a cruise. Great information everyone!! Edited August 31, 2022 by Woofumz

The website says it is a "drive-through collection site", not "drive thru site only". The FAQs say this: CAN ARRIVE BY FOOT/ WALK UP? Absolutely! Nearly all of our sites are able to accommodate walk-ups and bike-ups.

Besides their Mission Valley location they will come to you for a $49 and up single charge (not per person). We've used them and were very satisfied. They are Southern California's #1 ranked testing facility on Google. You would have to call and ask them about getting your results on the spot. I had occasion to speak with their customer service department and they were very friendly and helpful.
