Constellation from Tampa to Panama?

I am trying to find out if this cruise actually enters the lake or if it just spending the day in Cartagena?  I have tried search and nothing came up and Celebrity also cannot give me a definitive answer.  Funny that most of my correct answers come from this site.  Thank you in advance for whatever insight you can provide.  Deb

If you're talking about an "Ultimate Caribbean & the Americas" on Constellation, it's what we call a 'bump and run'.  You'll dock on the Atlantic side, outside of the canal at Colon (not Cartagena, which is the next stop, in Colombia).

Thank you for your quick reply.  Our Royal cruise went thru the locks sailed tha lake and went back out.  All indications on this one is that it doesn’t enter the locks.  I have a friend who wants the lock experience.

If you search cruises on the Celebrity site, start in the left field, and select either "Panama Canal" or "Panama Canal (cruising)", not "Colon, Panama".

We were on this cruise in March.  Great cruise and Connie was in great shape.  As mentioned, we docked in Colon but took excursion to Canal visitor center and went on a boat in Lake Gatun.
