Can you take a taxi to Bayahibe and is there anything to do? Also has anyone been to Playa BarcoBar

We want to spend the day in that area.

When I stayed in DR for two weeks I did a snorkel and dive out of Bayahibe,  it was nice.. not sure I saw a beach cute little town.. Now I am coming back to La roman and was thinking about visiting that area.. 

not sure how to get there yet..

Thanks I am sure there are taxi's from the port.

Just getting back had me wondering.

 

Few years back we did the Sanoa Island boat trip with Seavis and always wanted to go back to spend the day in that area.

Did you ever find out anything or have you been yet? I also went on a Seavis tour previously and wanted to go back to the beach area we passed.

Once you get there, can you just go sit on the beach and rent a chair? Or do you need a day pass at a hotel?

Next door there is the Hilton where you can buy a day pass. There are chairs owned by restaurants which are free (ok included) if you order food or drinks. Otherwise, there is plenty of space to throw down a towel.
