Lodging in Civitavecchia recommendations

Our favourite is a B&B along the front, La Casa Sul Mare. They only have four or five rooms, but they are all comfortable and immaculately clean. The hosts are lovely, very friendly and helpful. There is a lift, but you do have to bring your bags up one short flight of stairs.

Have you looked at Hotel Traghetto in Civitavecchia?  It's a few minutes walk from the hotel to the port gate with your luggage.  From there,  you catch a large free bus to your ships location.   Its a five minute walk to shops and cafes.  Giuseppe is the manger and speaks very good English.  The hotel offers a very nice complemtary breakfast that also includes cappuccino.
