smelkin Posted March 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2006 Has anyone stayed at the Prime Hotel in Beijing? Travelocity, Hotels.com. asiahotels all rate it at 4* or 5*, but Fodors and Frommers don't even list it. The web site looks good, but I'm a little worried. Thanks

digby Posted March 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2006 We are staying at the Grand Hyatt which is 5 Stars. We chose it because of its excellent location for one thing.
Spikesgirl Posted March 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2006 We're staying at the Crown Plaza when we travel with Princess this summer - it's also a five star. I understand the Shangra-La hotels are very good as well. Charlie
FLTXKS Posted March 23, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2006 We are staying at the Novotel Xin Qiao http://www.novotel.com/novotel/fichehotel/gb/nov/3641/fiche_hotel.shtml We "prepaid" our room on the Novotel website and are paying about $70 per night for a room on the Executive Floor with free breakfast. I understand that there is a "lounge area" on the Ex. Floor also that serves afternoon drinks/snacks. This hotel is not 5 star, but I have read some good reviews and have exchanged emails with a couple of folks that have stayed there before. The China Olympics Committee had rooms there when they were bidding for the 08 Olympics I understand. The hotel is close to Tin. Square and the subway. Good Luck! Anyone on the Pacific Princess June 30 sailing is welcome to contact me. I would like to connect with some passengers on our cruise!
