niborac Posted October 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2022 Hi avid cruiser here but looking to do this repositioning from Barcelona or port canaveral. My question is how does a long cruise work with regards to drinks package, are these offered for whole cruise pp or just part. Do the cruise line offered reduce laundry ? Also either thinking of just going cheap inside as will be on deck most of time or is it better to get sun in room for so many days. Thank you

Thank you Hi, I have just booked the Seashore Westbound TA next October from Rome. The drinks package will be priced for the entire cruise if you're purchasing as an added item ahead of time. I am new to MSC so do not know about laundry, but, yes, other cruise lines have offered specials on longer cruises. I prefer a balcony cabin for long TA's as I do spend time reading quietly on the warmer days and the outside decks can be loud and distracting at times. Book port side for the most sun. RedgeToo Posted November 19, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2022 Hi I cruised from Rio de Janeiro to Marseille in March 22 on Seaside Steeler Nation at Sea has already answered your questions on drinks and laundry, although my understanding is MSC do not have passenger laundry facilities. You can, however, pay to have your laundry done by MSC. I don't know what the charge is. My opinion on cabins is if you tend to spend time in your cabin, a balcony is a must. If, like me, you're hardly ever in cabin, why pay for a balcony cabin? As I am a solo cruiser, I prefer to be out of the cabin so I have more opportunity to socialise. I spend most of my time on deck or if it's too hot for me, I just sit in one of the lounges to cool off. My next transatlantic is in March 23 from Barbados to Southampton. I prefer the West to East trip so I don't have an overnight flight (I'm UK based) Enjoy!
