Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 7, 2006 Author #26 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Tom--How about a special Platinum Guest Party? I don't think that would break them up, do you?;) HEY - I would be ALL for that! They could give a FREE cruise to a lucky Platinum Card holder!!! They could serve top shelf liquor... even better, they could bring in a BLACKJACK table and let us play a version where the dealer hits FIRST... or FACE UP blackjack, with "normal blackjack" rules... ah yes, paradise! The possibilities are endless!:D Tom
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 7, 2006 Author #27 Share Posted March 7, 2006 So our whole family does its best to not only reward them with money, but to show them the respect they earn every day. And at the end of the cruise, I hope it is enough so that they know how much we appreciate what they do. We are right there with you 100%. I always see a few people treating the crew like sub-humans/slaves... So we go out of our way to let them know we appreciate what they do, and that we are all equal. Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 7, 2006 Author #28 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Think I might prefer free wireless Internet - how much could that cost them? another GREAT idea.... my comment card is going to be TOO SMALL (or my writing will have to be :D ) Isn't there another line (Princess???) that extends this benefit to some (high) level of repeat cruiser??? Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 7, 2006 Author #29 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Tom, love the ideas and think I'll be adding them to my comment card this time. OT - Just noticed that you're moving to Cocoa!!! Love that area and would like to move there myself. And you'll be so close to Port Canaveral for easy cruising! P.S. Your pics are great! Thanks (Pics comment), SMUGMUG helps them look a little better too! Regarding Cocoa - yep... we looked at many areas in Florida, and I must say that the proximity to Pt. Canaveral (and the roughly 2 hour drive to the ports in Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami) did play a role in our decision. I can imagine that we will be enjoying a few quickie FANTASY cruises in months/years to come since we will be MINUTES from the pier... Now.... I need to devise (or should I say ADHERE TO) a better method to LIMIT my exposure in the casino... Tom

I need to devise (or should I say ADHERE TO) a better method to LIMIT my exposure in the casino... Tom Boy, I'd say you're in trouble. They even have the riverboat casino cruises in Cocoa Beach! - just in case you need a quick fix! LOL
katsted69 Posted March 7, 2006 #31 Share Posted March 7, 2006 Might be a silly question but I saw on another post that "Skipper Club" can be for someone not able to wait in lines due to disability or something. I just called CC and asked about what can be done with my MIL while I checked in because she couldn't stay in line with her o2 and wheelchair for all the time. Nothing was mentioned to me about anything. Just said they would email me with a page to fill out leting them know exactly what she is bringing on board. I'm a little confused. People needing assistance (wheelchairs and such) along with wedding parties will board the ship FIRST, before those in the Skipper's Club and Platinum card holders. I know nothing about paperwork prior to the fact, I always assumed that is was taken care of right there at check-in. Have a GREAT cruise!
