We booked our very first NYE cruise on Mariner OTS.  Wondering what type of fun “extra/holiday” activities we can expect

Maybe a balloon drop and some overpriced event/dining.

My DH and I have done many NYE cruises. We enjoy the balloon drop. Generally a nice meal in the dining room prime rib and lobster tend to be on the menu.  Different lounges will have music to suit everyone’s taste   Generally free champagne at the balloon drop

Royal Promenade is where it's at.  It feels like a mini version of Times Square. Love it. Going on my 4th New Year's Eve cruise this year.
