Questions about entertainment and dining on Emerald Princess

My DW and I have numerous cruises.  Mostly on Celebrity.   We are used to 7pm theatre shows and 8pm "late dining".   Also the theatre while often full accommodates about 40% of passengers. 

It seems Princess main shows are 8 and10pm.  A 10pm show is too late so????

Can you eat after the early show?  

Then no fixed seating times except very early unless a table for 2.  Happy to eat with my wife but do that alone at home.  Would like to eat with others.  

This is a 15 day Christmas/New Years on Emerald.

Can we simply sort this out after we board?  Will the early theater show be full?  

Thoughts and suggestions please.

We are on Emerald in early December. I was able to reserve early dining every day as we prefer to eat and then see a show. You should be able to make reservations on the Princess app for as early as 5pm. You can choose from three dining rooms and whether you want to dine alone or with others.

Planning a cruise on the Emerald this summer, how is the condition of the ship? Also was the entertainment good? I am hearing mixed reviews.  Thank you in advance.

We were on the Emerald straight after it's refit. Condition excelent except they didn't change the bed matresses., well not in our full suite, perhaps they were going to do it for it's TA. Entertainment not yet as it was before covid but OK. The bean counters have been at the orchestra ( band) as it's now down to a 6 piece in the theater.
