Free interior stateroom offer?

I received one of these "free interior stateroom"  offers today. It is not a "casino" offer. The "select sailings" are not at a time when I could go, but I'm thinking about taking advantage of such an offer if I were to receive another one.  Just for research purposes, I searched one of the "select cruises" and found cabins available that I would be happy to sail in.

If there are better than inside cabins available on a "select cruise", does that mean that upgrades would be available?

Can I book such an offer through my TA?

My DH got one also and when I logged in using his credentials the cost showed as $100pp. At the bottom of the invoice it showed $200 OBC- which I assumed was a mistake. A few days into the cruise we both received $100 OBC.

It was not a “casino” offer but internally it was coded as such. DH has never been in a HAL casino, and the last one on land was in the 90s. DH has gotten these a few times. Me- never. But then, I’ve sailed more frequently than he has- as a solo. And I normally book us under my name- so it was a good 10 years since he had a cruise booked under HIS name.

Correct - they are coded as "casino rate" which you will hear them (HAL) mention if you call to ask questions. Doesn't mean you play (or played) in the casino, just that whatever system they use, you are getting benefit of a casino rate. 😊

Just seeing this post now and I've had these offers and have taken several of the free inside stateroom cruises.  And they can't be casino offers because I haven't gambled on a cruise.  But these offers are legit, and yes, you have to book and pay immediately, however they are worth doing I think.  And as a solo traveler it really makes sense - and no, they didn't charge me double the port fees/taxes.  Have fun cruising!
