Busia1956 Posted January 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2023 Just wanted to know if buying travel insurance not through the cruise line is ok. Looked at a current Forbes article. I just wanted to know if people do this.
Rare CCWineLover Posted January 16, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2023 There are an incredible number of threads on this forum that discuss insurance. Do a search and you will be surprised at all the good information. This subject is one of the most popular for sure. That being said, many many people (we included) get trip insurance from other than Viking's Tripmate partner. Some like Tripmate for the "convenience". Others find some issues (cost, lack of insurance for vouchers, inability to transfer to a different itinerary, etc etc). There are insurance brokers that can help sort out all the various options for you. One of them has a thread on CruiseCritic and has been used by many. the TripInsuranceStore.com https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/2606-qa-cruise-insurance-with-steve-dasseos-of-the-tripinsurancestorecom-november-december-2022-read-only/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/2558-qa-cruise-insurance-with-steve-dasseos-of-the-tripinsurancestorecom-janfeb-22/
