I guess MSC varies when they post the gratuities. Ours was day 3. Please notice that gratuities are titled "Hotel Service Charge".

I have my 1st MSC booked for November. What are the chocolate bars and are they worth the price?

Yes, I'm blessed to be in a position to tip in a magnanimous fashion.

Was on the Celebrity Beyond for 'our' Thanksgiving cruise. Seashore went to Brazil and Seascape not here (Florida) yet. The Beyond had a set up of some French Chocolatier. I only enjoy milk chocolate and the French bar of milk chocolate was gram for gram $12.50 US compared to Venchi bar $6.50 US.   I tried the French MC bar and bought no more. The only Venchi milk chocolate are the red wrapped truffles. There are unwrapped bars sold in the refrigerated case. I found the wrapped Cremino bars to be the best with hazelnut cream. I bought 2 kilos to bring home of the wrapped variety at $77.00/kilo. On line the same Venchi chocolates sell for $110.00/ kilo. I recommend one circles the Venchi kiosk display and pick out one of each to find their best. We got the chocolate ship $25 each though not really milk chocolate, but it also comes in white chocolate.

In the logo store they sell another Italian milk chocolate (4 wrapped bars in one box) for about $4.50 /per bar and I did not buy those again either. Now in the liquor store there are other chocolates that go on sale 30% off ? for one hour dinner time. Never bothered.

Usually the last day of the cruise the Venchi kiosk will have a 20% off sale the boxes of chocolates and they allowed us to pick which chocolates we could fill the box with.
