Returning Budget Car to Port Canaveral?

My husband and I are flying into Orlando on Wednesday for a Saturday Cruise.  We are picking up a car at the airport and dropping it at their port location.  Has anyone done this?  The message says that they have free transportation to the port every 25/30 minutes.  We have a 10am check-in for our cruise and wonder what time we should drop the car to make it there.  

 

I was wondering about your experience.

Yes.  We did this in October and it was very easy.  As soon as we dropped off the keys, the shuttle was ready to take us.  Enjoy.

a key factor is the number of ships in port on the day in question.

 

days with one ship - seldom any issues

 

days with 6 ships - stand by for heavy rolls
