Disembarkation day-How does it work on Virgin?

We are going to be flying home out of Ft Lauderdale airport and I'm trying to estimate a good time to book a flight.  We are supposed to be back in Miami around 6:30 am Saturday morning.  How long does it take to get off the ship?  Can you carry you own luggage off and leave earlier like you can on Royal Caribbean?  Any information would be appreciated.

Good to know.  We haven't booked the flight yet.  I'm still trying to figure out getting back and forth to Ft Lauderdale airport, where to stay the night before the cruise and all of that stuff.  I'm probably not going to book the flight until 1 or 2pm that day.  I guess we can just Uber up there if I can't find a shuttle.

1 or 2pm should be fine, and you should even have time for a leisurely breakfast at razzle dazzle or the wake before getting off the ship (you also don't need to bring your luggage to breakfast, as you don't need to be out of the rooms until after 10am).  debarkation is only a problem when people book 9 or 10am flights, seeing the 6:30am arrival time and expect to be able to get off and through customs at 6:30.

Thanks to the new Brightline Trains, you can also consider flying out of Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach if they have better fares.

For our cruise later this month, we're flying into FLL, and back home via PBI.

There was a considerable price difference, and we like to spoil ourselves one last time by booking first-class.

With the Brightline app, you can pre-book a car to meet you at the cruise port to take you to the Miami station.
