Premium economy on VA is great!  The first row is neat if you can snag it- instead of the little bicycle footrest thingamajig, they bring out a little foot rest cushion for you after takeoff.  I’d take VA premium over domestic first on any US airline any day!!!

Was just wondering how this points transfer from AMEX and/or Chase works? I see Virgin Atlantic Flying Club as a partner, but not Virgin Red… Do you transfer to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, and then to Virgin Red?

Exactly.  It is instant, though I believe you might have to "link" Virgin Red and Virgin Atlantic.  I would do that first.  Create a Virgin Red account if you don't already have one, then in your account go to "Link Account".  

 

I had my points from Amex to "purchasing" my Access Key at Virgin Red in about 30 seconds.
