room below the casino a bad idea on Enchantment of the Seas?

Recommended Posts

I needed two adjacent interior rooms for our upcoming cruise on Enchantment of the Seas and after booking realized that they are directly below the casino area. I called back to ask about noise being a concern and they assured me it would not be but I would love to hear from someone who has stayed below the casino on this or any other ship. Should I try to switch rooms?

Our room on the Enchantment last month was one deck below the casino, located between the casino entrance and the showroom entrance. It was very noisy for a few minutes when a show let out, but other than that, we thought it was fine. Didn't hear any slot machine noise or anything like that. We also liked the convenient location right next to the stairways and elevators.

It is always a good idea to check the cruise ship's deck plans either in the sales booklet or on the internet prior to selecting a cabin.

Always avoid being under or over an entertainment center such as a casino, lounge, stage area, food court, kitchen, or dinning room as well as those decks where the offices are located and the shops are located. Being below the pool or general seating area you will hear the moving of the chairs for example. Maybe even the loud pool area music.

So stay away from public areas above or below your cabin. Near stairs can also be noisey as people loudly talk going up and down them or just standing in front of them loudly talking.

If you do not like being awaken early on tendering days than do not get a cabin by the bow of the vessel as when they drop the anchor you will definetly wake up from the noise it generates.

Also stay away from the passenger washing machine area if your vessel has one as you will at times have a crowd standing in line outside of your cabin door talking while waiting their turn to wash and dry their clothes.

When looking at the cruise ship's deck plan look for your quite areas and book your cabin in them accordingly.
