Discover Scuba versus Carnival's Beginner Scuba

I have seen a lot of posts recommending Discover Scuba. I found the website, but also saw that Carnival has a Beginner Scuba excursion. Are these the same thing? Is one better than the other?

I also saw that Discover Scuba has a one tank version that you do from the beach and a two tank version that you do on a reef. I would imagine the 2 tank is better but was wondering if anyone could comment on that.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, beginner scuba and Discover is the same thing. We do a lot of Discover Scuba in the Caribbean and love it. It will require a "class" before diving to teach you how to dive, the hand signals, breathing and so on. Then they will take you out somewhere to practice your skills to make sure you are comfortable. Then you will go on the dive.
