Venice Restaurant Recommendation for Birthday Celebration

We arrive in Venice 2 days pre-cruise and the second night is my husband’s birthday. Looking for a restaurant for dinner with a view or atmosphere and good food that won’t break the bank (200€ or under per couple) for 4 of us. TIA!

If you want a special occasion place, I can recommend Quadrino, which is located right on Piazza San Marco. Quadrino is sort of an "open secret" -- it is run by the same chef and crew that operate the Michelin-starred Quadri restaurant on the upper floor, and in a dining room with the same beautiful view (albeit on the ground floor and not from above) and same over-the-top Baroque decor. They also operate the Grancaffe Quadri, one of the famous places to have a coffee on the piazza.

 

Quadri wouldn't meet your price requirement, but at Quadrino, with careful choices from their sharing/tasting menu it can be done. The menu is very inventive:
