Switching cabins but keeping original Seapass?

Recommended Posts

I am traveling with three other adults and two kids.  There are three cabins- two with a child/adult, and one with adult/adult.

The two adults sharing with the children would like to switch with me and the other adult by moving to our cabin.

I am trying to decide the easiest scenario for  guest services to help us with.

A) if I were to get additional room keys for each room, do those extra ones JUST open doors (like hotel keys), or would they be able to make onboard purchases with those?

B) would it be easier to get new Seapass cards for all 4 adults with updated cabin numbers on them?  Would the onboard spending account carry over or stay associated with the original room?

C) Do we just swap our Seapass at the end of the night and give them back the next morning? However, we won’t always be in the rooms at the same time to do so.

I really just want to make things easier for Guest Services so if there’s a domino effect with one solution VS a simple fix with another, I’d rather make it simple and present the easier request to GS.

Thanks for your help!

It's easiest to just let guest services knowing who is sleeping where and updating cards accordingly, that way all charges go where they should and you open the door you'll be sleeping in/stuff is.  You can also get an extra seapass as needed for any kid cabin that will only open doors.  You will have no problem making it adult/adult, adult/adult, kid/kid in cabins once on board.
