dgboyd Posted March 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2006 We are leaving tomorrow on Radiance, and are taking our daughters 10 & 14 along. Thinking of taking along a pair of the Motorola "2-way" radios to help keep up with them. Does anyone have any experience using them on board? Thanks! KK_Cruisin Posted March 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2006 My husband abd I use them. We bought a pretty pricy pair a few years ago that work pretty well. Even in port if he stayed on the ship mine worked about 2 miles away. Granted we had an aft balcony room and he left his on the balcony cuz the ship is a lot of steel and it can cause interferance if you have several decks between you or such. I never see this mentioned on th boards but the ship does have phone service similar to a hotel. There are phones all over the place on the ship the youngsters can call your room and leave you a message if they are headed to a different area. Just pick up any phone and dial the cabin number. There is no charge for this.
