Preference on Barcelona HOHO bus?

I see that there are 2 hop on hop off buses in Barcelona-- the red bus and Turistic. Has anyone taken either or both of them and have a recommendation as to which way to go? They appear to have very similar routes and are the same price so probably can't go wrong either way, but curious if anyone had a preference.

It's some years ago, but I have it in mind we used the red bus. It was fine and I imagine we'll use it again when in the city in a few weeks.

 

I havnt looked but have you spotted any difference between the two companies - maybe frequency of bus?

We were happy with Turistic.
