CJWSLP Posted May 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2023 First time cruiser traveling in NCL Getaway in July. We have a stop in Motril 10-7. I’m having difficulty figuring out public transportation or finding transfers that meet that timeframe. (Found Alsa (?) bus line, but they leave at 10 am). Any advice? Thanks in advance! edinburgher Posted May 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 15, 2023 finding transfers that meet that timeframe. The other timeframe you may need to take into account is the timing of your Alhambra entrance tickets as you cannot simply turn up and expect to go in and you did not mention that you already have tickets. The Alhambra is one of the top 5 tourist attractions in all of Spain, and often ranked at #2 or #3 after the Sagrada Familia. Pre- pandemic I believe it averaged around 2 million visitors a year with the daily number of tickets capped at a certain number, and pre-pandemic it was common for them to sell out months in advance. Post pandemic, visitor numbers may be down a little from 2 million, (I do not know) but last minute tickets could still be almost impossible to get. A taxi taking you there, bringing you back and waiting for you throughout your visit could be very costly, and that assumes you have been able to actually get tickets for your date with timing which fits areound the cruise schedule. You may need to consider either the shorex through your ship if places are still available, or looking for a private tour providor who can offer both a ride AND tickets. Or try your Roll Call in case someone has already arranged a private tour and is looking for others to share. And do read past threads. Go to the general Spain Ports forum, not an individual thread, and in turn, insert the words Alhambra, Motril, Granada before hitting the little spy glass. All previous threads containing that word should appear ready for you to read and you should pick up much info from doing that..
