Extra large groups?

On two of the cruises we have been on, we discovered we were traveling with large special interest groups. There is nothing wrong with this but we felt like we were intruding on their "party". One group was Mary Kay and another was Avon. Nothing wrong with these groups, but when there are only a few hundred "civilians" on board you tend to feel out of place. Is there anyway you can know beforehand if there are large groups on your cruise?
