Bourbon and Bottles a live review on Oasis of the seas - June 9th

Where's the 'Rip 10' in the photo, long time Bourbon aficionado trying to keep up with the current trends.
My go-to's have always been Maker's and Woodford, and am just learning to enjoy BT.
Any recommendations on what I should try next (considering that we have the DBP)? 🤔

I forget what photo you are referring too, I think it was someone’s collection.

The bourbon selection on most Royal Caribbean ships is pitiful. I will say that when I was on Symphony last year they had Elijah Craig, Four Roses, Angels Envy and Old Forester. I was impressed. The schooner bar also had for a up charge Macallan Enigma which was awesome. Buffalo Trace is ok but I much prefer Weller Special Reserve. You will never see that on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

We sailed last year on Oasis from NJ on the same route and had our 6 year old Granddaughter who went the Kids Club and loved it. Checked in and out, lots to do from games to crafts and she loved it. Took her there for an hour to see how she liked it on the first day and she stayed for another and did at least 2 hours a day.

That's just wrong.. 6-y/o granddaughters do NOT understand the significance of really good bourbon!

That's quite a list! I've enjoyed Maker's 46, WT Rare Breed, OGD, Russel's and Elijah Craig. 🙂

Totally agree! Bionic is a waste of space. Put in a Tiki Bar!

ANYTHING else would do! Bionic is slow, time consuming, needs constant human maintenance. It's only good for marketing purposes. So I guess that's why Royal sticks with it. They don't care as much about us as they do about the first time cruiser market. 10 seconds into pouring my first bionic bar drink 5 years ago on Anthem, I knew it was the last time I'd be using the bioinic bar.

@DeerJod I remember from reading your thread that you said you had connecting cabins.  Did they provide you with those rubber door stops so you can prop the connecting doors open?  I'll be on Oasis soon with the family and grandkids.

I actually don't remember unfortunately! The doors were not free swinging as the ship moved though so something must have helped secure them.

So after my dry spell with casino offers, RCL has decided I'm worth investing in... I've received 3 free cruise offers since returning. Two were for 3/4 night interiors out of Florida with 50$ free play and one was for 100$ free play and there was quite a large selection of cruises from now until June of 2024 for interior or OV.

It's exciting to be wanted again.

Wow that’s great! I’ll be on Beyond next April. Hopefully they will have some.
