Do we need to rent a car for every island?

We usually do our own shore excursions so I have been checking out the activities for each island. Are there any tour operators who pick you up at the dock & take you to the major attractions---I guess I'm looking for a "package deal" ?? Thanks!! Susan

Yes, several tour operators pick you up. List ports and what you want to do and maybe some folks can help you find the right ones.

I agree, there are several port tours on each island. You will not need a vehicle on Oahu, but I do recommend one on Kauai. There is so much to see and everything is spread throughout the island, but easy navigating since there's only one main hwy.

 

In Kauai, be sure to check out Princeville and Hanalei (north side). If you have time, Waimea Canyon on the west side and Poipu on the South side.
