Tender Logistics

We are booked on a pretty tender heavy cruise on the Pearl next summer. My understanding is that one of the suite perks (not haven) is priority escorted access on and off the boat.  Is anyone familiar with how that works for a tender port? Do I need to specify a time in advance or can go whenever we want? In most cases we will probably do our own thing and not an excursion. Is there just one line that we have to try and go to the front of? We were in a suite last summer but the boat was only half full and there were no tender ports, so it never really mattered. I assume with a tender port and full boat, there may be more of a line. What has been your experience with wait times?

You will receive a letter in your cabin telling you where to meet for priority tendering. The concierge will get you off the ship quickly and will move you to the front of the line if necessary. If you don't take advantage of that time slot, our experience has been that you are kind of on your own at that point!

Our experience on 2 recent cruises with latitude priority you can get next available tender.

On Dawn they were holding at deck 7 until a tender is ready, priority you could go down early and get to the front.

Shorex came to the platform a different route to numbers and also got next available as a batch.

Star they the prefilled the tender area which could result in joining a line even with priority.

We used priority tender at Great Stirrup Cay on Getaway back in Dec/January. There was a specific time to meet the concierge for the tender, so I thought we had missed it. My husband told me to not be a fool. Of course we'd get priority.

And, of course my husband was right. I called the concierge to confirm. We hiked up to the Haven and the concierge took us down to the front of the line...that was non-existent. We could have walked there on our own and been fine, but didn't know that.

Our concierge, Alexander, took great care of us on that cruise!
