San Diego Airport to pier

Can someone please tell me the approximate travel time and cab cost from the airport to the pier? We have a group of 14 and planned to split up into 4 cabs unless there is an alternative shuttle bus that someone knows of.

Here is a Mapquest link showing the route from the airport to the cruise ship terminal. It's about 2.5 miles. You will probably spend more time walking from baggage claim to the taxi stand than the actual taxi ride. I don't know the exact cost, but the meter should show less than 3 miles.

 

I don't know anything about shuttle bus availability. As for taxis, I would just go to the taxi stand and ask for the minivan taxis. You should be able to get five persons plus luggage in each minvan taxi.

Its a fast 10+ minutes and about $12-15 for a cab. Just go to the taxi stand and as mercruiser said ask for a minivan or van and you should be all set. You can see the planes landing and taking off from the ship/pier-it's that close.
