Pre-Cruise Marriott property Question

We are just staying 1 night pre cruise for Feb 2024. We are going to be using our Marriott certificates (free night). We have narrowed it down to these 3...

*Sheraton Puerto Rico hotel/Casino

*Aloft Ponce

*Courtyard San Juan Miramar

Any experience/input for these choices?

Thank you!

Ponce is about 75 miles from San Juan so I wouldn't even think about staying there before your cruise.

May I suggest a different Marriott property? We often stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach resort. It's near the airport and only a short drive to the cruise terminals in San Juan...and best of all it's on a beautiful stretch of beach. We'll often sty there for up to a week, whether as part of a cruise vacation or just for an island vacation.

glad I found this thread.  I'm also looking to use Marriott points to book a stay in January.  I'm looking at Aloft, San Juan (not Ponce) and courtyard, San Juan Miramar since I have enough points to cover a one night stay at each.  I can't tell how close these are to the embarkation cruise port, though.  I'd be willing to buy points to top off my account to redeem a night at the courtyard Isla Verde if it's significantly closer to the port.  The points would cost be about $150

Aloft San Juan is very close to the cruise port, Courtyard Miramar a bit further away , and Courtyard Isla Verde is the furthest away by a substantial amount.

Go onto Google Maps and you'll see the exact locations.
