First Time w/ Virgin Voyages Questions

Hello - My wife & I are long time cruisers with another line but due to their changes; we are on the search for a new favorite cruise line.  We have booked a cruise recently on the Scarlet Lady departing in the next 3 weeks (a little late to the party 😁).  We did the online registration and obviously most the dinner reservations were full.   We read that some reservations will open once we board and reservations are also required for the shows.  We did the status match for Deep Blue; so hopefully we can board a little early.

Can someone confirm if my understanding for reservations below is correct once we board the ship:

1) Dining Reservations - If we want to try to get an earlier time, where do we go?  Each individual restaurant? Or are they set up in one place for all of them?
2) Show Reservations - made on the ship once you log on to the ship's wifi?

3) Spa Reservations - Made directly at the spa?

We are excited to try this line & even though this aspect is a little different than we are use to - we are very excited to see the rest of the VV experience!   Thanks for the assistance.

1) I believe there will be someone who can help you with dinner reservations for all restaurants when you board on deck 7, but tbh I've never tried to change my reservations en masse unless a rockstar agent helped me, so I'm not entirely certain. But I guarantee others will chime in.

2) Yes

3) Yes

I hope you enjoy it!

On our most recent VV cruise, help with reservation changes was at Razzle Dazzle.  The newly available reservations will also appear on the app, so you might be able to grab them yourself  by seeing the newly available times.

Entertainment--on the app as soon as you are able to access VV's internet.  It will say "mermaid something."

Spa--There were spa reps near the big red desk on deck 7 who could make reservations on their tablets.  You could also go to the spa.   There will be people at the big red desk dealing with excursions.

Since you have DBE, when you arrive at the terminal, find the "Sailor's Club" station outside.  THey will give you a ribbon bracelet showing your status.  You can remove this after boarding as it is a pain.  This bracelet will allow you into the terminal.  You will check in and then board immediately after rockstars and people who purchased splash of romance.  In every case, we have been IN our cabin within 15 minutes of our scheduled arrival time.

What we do...go to lunch either at THe Dock or The Galley.  We both get on our apps and "divide and conquer."  One of us makes entertainment reservations while the other makes any needed alterations to dining.  I don't remember if we did spa before or after lunch, but know we did that one in person last time.

Spa, dining, and entertainment can all be booked once connected to ship WiFi. We noticed on Resilient that its no longer called mermaid4u, instead it was VirginVoyages-Sailor. Not sure if the other ships are the same or different now.

You can also book in person during embark and then most departments have hours through out the cruise. It seems like they are moving the locations around so probably best to ask when you board.

A good rockstar agent will get you into every restaurant and show whenever you want.  I found it embarrassing to be escorted to the front of the long lines for shows.

Miss Behave and Duel Reality are must sees.
