Royal Princess: Currency on board

Hello, planning the 13 night Sydney to Fiji in 2025 on Royal Princess. What currency is used onboard AUD or USD? I ask as some threads seem to suggest drinks package onboard is in AUD and is cheaper to buy onboard rather than prebuy at UK GBP rate.

It will be AUD onboard.All Princess cruises departing from and returning to Australia use AUD.

Watch the currency conversions but I suspect it would be cheaper to pre purchase the drinks packages, especially if there is a sale or discounted period.

I think you have to also have to take into account that the Aussie Princess Plus does not include grats.  I have heard that other nationalities would have the daily gratuity added to their folio on top of the $65AuD for the package
