Any one stayed pre-cruise at Comfort Inn & Suites? Was it clean? Don't need fancy lodging, just a clean and comfortable place to sleep and leave our car. Have read some negative reports.......

We stayed there January 2004. Hotel was clean and I liked getting a suite for the cost of a room. The breakfast was awful. We got up and walked to the Waffle House which is in front of hotel and ate. You don't leave your vehicle at this hotel but rather take it to another and catch the shuttle there. We took a taxi rather than wait in line for our turn on the shuttle.

I agree with scarborough. The room was nice, didn't have a buffet when we were there so we ate at Waffle House. We couldn't get signed up for the shuttle time we prefered so we drove to the Raddison at the Port and parked (they have an agreement between hotels that you can park there), the line for the free shuttle bus was way too long (90-120min)so we called up a taxi and were on our way in less than 10 minutes. The cab fare was around $10.00 plus tip. Sure beat waiting in the line for the free shuttle.

We actually booked a room for our July cruise on the Sensation and went through priceline. We got the Doubletree for $80 a night! Pretty good deal!

Does the Doubletree let you leave your car on their lot while cruising?
