embark terminal 21, disembark terminal 2 with mobility scooter?

I just got notification that on January 7th Caribbean Princess will be embarking from terminal 21.  Per the port schedule we will be disembarking from terminal 2.  This creates a few special challenges to me as my DH uses a mobility scooter.  We are used to dropping off our luggage then parking at the Heron parking garage where he is able to ride over to the terminal and then easily walk back to the car upon our return.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

Do you not have valet parking in the US? At Southampton if you use one of the valet parking companies your car will be returned to whichever terminal the ship disembarks - no problem.

According to the Port Everglades cruise ship schedule Caribbean is at terminal 2 & Enchanted is at terminal 21 so unless something changes you are at 2.  I would verify the day before or day of the cruise to be sure.  There are also billboards as you come into the Port.  Hope it is easy for you if the terminal is 21.

I saw that on the Port Everglades schedule, but then I received an email from Princess stating that the Caribbean would be at Pier 21.  I will be sure to check the billboards as we enter the Port.  Thanks for the good wishes.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got back and wanted to post our experience.  At 9:30 a.m. I dropped off DH with his scooter at terminal 21 and our 1 large suitcase with a porter.  I told the porter my plans to drive to the parking garage for terminal 2 and she very nicely told me to watch for the white vans run by USA.  After parking at the Heron lot I went down to the 1st floor of the garage and asked a port employee about the shuttle and he said there weren't any.  He pointed me to a long taxi line and an even longer Uber line.  I got in the taxi line and 5 minutes later a white van (not labeled) pulled up and let passengers out.  I noticed the driver had USA on her shirt and went over and explained my situation.  She was going back to terminal 21 to drive more disembarking passengers from there to terminal 2 and agreed to take me.  What a relief!  The traffic was so bad it took 25 minutes to get there.  So from start to finish my DH waited about 1 hour for my return.  When we finished the cruise we were in our car by 7:30 a.m. headed home.  So glad we took care of the inconvenient part at the beginning of the cruise.
