Singapore Guide for the day recommendations

Hi all we will be in Singapore for 5 days in December after our cruise looking for a guide for a day to show us around do any of you have a recommendation for any guides it will be just my wife and I.

We did a pre-cruise extension in Singapore in late January.  The guide we had, arranged by Oceania Cruises for the extension, was this man ("Tiger").  We thought he did a great job for our 2 plus days of adventures.  We didn't hire him, but got the impression he was available for private tours for individuals.  So you may want to contact him.

We used Grayson from Toursby locals

for a food tour that took us to 3 of the ethnic quarters of the city with lots of info re: the city and life( in addition to food!) We really enjoyed our time with him and he was very helpful in the pre-planning as we had someone with dietary restrictions. It is very easy and inexpensive to go to the Botanical gardens and the Gardens by the Bay using Grab ( the Singapore Uber equivalent).

Agree that Gardens by the Bay is not to be missed but you don't need a guide there. You could spends a day there. Save the guide for other things. If you're on your own definitely get the Grab app (Singapore Uber) it's so easy to get a car anywhere. And it's very inexpensive! Also, if you're into zoos, Singapore has a fabulous zoo!

We used Danny from Tours by Locals for a shore excursion from the Oceania Riviera in March. We had a wonderful day with him!  We visited Gardens by the Bay, the Arab Quarter, the Peranakan Houses, Skyville@Dawson and other sites of interest.  Danny was extremely responsive to our interests and tailored the day to them.  He is very personable and knowledgeable about Singapore and shared his own fascinating background with us.
