scene on weekend Freedom of the Seas sailing, 19APR

Hi!

I am considering a weekend sailing on Freedom out of Miami (Friday to Monday) on Friday April 19th. I am hoping spring break may be over by then, but am just curious what the ship is like for these short cruises (I've never done a weekend one).  If its crazy party 24/7 it might not be our thing anymore.  Has anyone sailed on Freedom of late?  I just need to get away to relax for a quick weekend.  Thoughts?    I just have never sailed for a short cruise and don't know what to expect.  Thanks a million!

Would think Spring Break will be long in the review mirror by then.  I sailed Freedom in 2013, so I am not current, but it is a good ship with plenty to do for a short cruise, if you can get to the port cheaply, I say go for it.

A lot of large groups do the weekend cruise at least once a month. They all know each other, they know the bartenders, dealers, band members, etc. 

 

It can be a booze cruise to be sure and you may take a hot minute to figure out how to work around them all.
