Cruising without a package

If you consider crew appreciation and just one coffee, bottle of water to take on an excursion and a glass or two of wine at dinner, it might make sense, especially if the OBC is non-refundable

I believe they only wanted the WIFI so buying into the package doesn't seem logical.

I think it’s more about what you drink than “heavy drinking”. For wine drinkers, Plus is a big money saver.

My math is as follows

Plus costs $60/day

Crew Appreciation $16

Cappuccino ($4 + 18%) $5

Water ($2.50 + 18%) $3

Glass of Wine ($15 + 18%) $17

Total 🟰 $41

If the OP feels that would be typical, they can easily see if it makes more sense to pay an extra $19 per day to buy the Plus Package or purchase wi-fi by the day

As I originally said, they might want to to do the math based on their expected expenses, including however many individual days of wi-fi they plan to purchase, and see if it might be a cost savings, especially if the OBC is non-refundable.

Think Casino and their problems will be solved. 😄

You get a discounted rate if you buy for the duration of the cruise, since you will only be buying for daily 24 hour periods, the per day rate is higher.

I think this point may have gotten lost in the "Should you buy Plus?" discussion. The per day rate for buying 24 hours of wifi/internet is $29.99 while the per day cost if you buy it for every day of the cruise is $24.99.

That's not a big difference though so I'm not sure what ratio of wifi days to the entire cruise would do that for you.
