Iona Room 4348 Loud humming noise like being on flight

Just been on a two week Carnaries cruise on Iona and after the second day came back to the room 4348 to hear a very loud noise like being on an aeroplane. You could just about hear the children running around and banging next door but not the TV very well.

 

After telling our attendant a member of the crew appeared and said they would look into it.

 

After two days he came back and said it's the desalinzation plant below us and he would see if they could turn it down.

 

He said the cruise was full so couldn't move us but offered us £100 onboard spend plus a free meal in Sindu. 

 

The noise was quiet for the next two days but the following 10 days it was louder than ever and it drove us mad and completely ruined our holiday.

The onboard next cruise assistant said it was a good room. Clearly a duff room.
