Gambling on the Venezia

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a few questions about gambling on the Venezia.   I have read a few of the posts, but wanted to confirm a few things.  When you want to play the slot machines, you will need to use your Sign and Sail card.  You insert this into the machine and then establish a “Bank”.   Once you have a Bank established, you then transfer money from your Sign and Sail card to the Bank.   Is all of this correct?

Prior to sailing, we plan to set up a Sign and Sail account using a credit card.  Also, we have received a few gift cards and plan put them into our Sign and Sail account.

1.    Do you have a choice which funds are withdraw from the Sign and Sail account when you establish the bank or is it funded automatically starting with the gift cards?

2.    Let’s say that my bank was funded by a $100 gift card and I am up by $100 ($200 in the bank) and I want to cash out.  Would the $200 be split up with  $100 going back onto the gift card and $100 go back as cash on my Sign and Sail account?

3.    Next scenario, let’s say I fund my bank using a $100 gift card and I am up and down in my winnings and decide to cash out and there is $50 left in the bank,  If I want to cash out, does that $50 go back on the gift card or go in as cash on my Sign and Sail account?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you insert your Sign and Sail card into the machine, but  initially you only have two options to add funds (insert cash or charge to your room).  Once it is charged to the room it is the same as any other on-board charge (gift shop purchases, excursions, bar tab, coffee shop, Etc.).  If you charge $100 and then cash out $75, those funds remain in your 'casino bank'.  When you insert your card into another machine, you have the option of drawing part or all the remaining funds in your casino bank.  When you decide to cash out, you take your card to the cashier's cage and they pay you the balance left on your card in cash.  If, at that time you wish to have it applied back onto your Sigh and Sail account you have to go to guest services with the cash and have them apply it.  It is NOT automatically transferred back from your casino bank into your Sign an Sail account.

I'll try to explain how a Casino bank works.  You are correct you use your S&S card in the machine and you set up a bank with a PIN. You can also use cash.  You don't have to charge to your S&S.  This bank is separate from your regular S&S account but you can charge to your S&S account to load money onto the machine.  When you go to leave the machine you cash out to your bank and the money is loaded to your bank. The cash out doesn't go back against your S&S account.  If you want your cash you go to the Casino cashier and get your cash.  On your regular S&S account it's just basically a debit credit type activity.  Non refundable funds like OBC is used first and then any other credits you have are reduced to offset the charge.  Once all credits are used then it would end up being charged to your credit card at the end of the cruise.
