Front vs Aft interior

Recommended Posts

The travel agent i’m booking with charges 122 for aft which is categorized id vs front which is ie. I don’t really see the difference in location. The front cabin is 8 from front and aft is 8 from the back. Its baja deck so shouldn’t be problems as cabins are above and below. I don’t understand why aft cabins are categorized better.

Cabins are categorized and priced by the preferences of cruisers.  If more people want aft cabins over forward cabins, they will price them higher.  Bet the midship insides are even higher.  Why do you say your TA charges more?  It is the cruise line that sets the rates, and you can check this by doing mock bookings for the cruises that interest you.  EM

Princess doesn’t usually charge more for aft rooms. I assume they are charging more as an id category. The only thing i can think of is aft is preferable but not sure worth extra 122.00
