Gifting comped cruise reservation from Ocean casino status match

I have a free cruise offer from matching to ocean casino prime status, but it needs to be used by July.

 

Would there be any penalties if I booked for a plus one and then no showed myself? Can my guest still attend for free and use on board credits and will I still earn points for their spend?

Hi...

My understanding is that the person who received the cruise has to be a passenger as they are the supposed 'player' who will most likely donate to the casino.   The certificate's small print should have information/terms/conditions that explain.

The penalty is having your +1 denied boarding and losing the deposits you placed and wasting your guest's time. It's pretty explicit in the T&Cs that the invited Casino guest must be present.
