Amsterdam on a Sunday: are shops etc. open?

Hi, my sister and I are thinking of flying into AMS to arrive on Sunday morning vs. Monday morning in order to have 2 days there instead of 1 before we board the Viking ship. 

 

Are most shops, museums (Anne Frank), restaurants open on Sundays?

In general, it's a tourist city. We were there on a Saturday & Sunday and nothing we planned to do was closed.

Anne Frank is open every day, with a few exclusions:

You will find most shops open late on Mondays so plan on a leisurely breakfast on Monday morning or book a tour.

Keep a close eye on this as Amsterdam as a city is trying to organise their tourist system, they are getting overwhelmed. In some ways a good thing but in others from reports horrendous. I was first there in the sixties (scootering again) and then in on business in the eighties, I’ve watched this always vibrant city change and in some ways not for the better. It’s still one of the absolute special European cities.
